Operating details
02Filling the diesel tank
- Fill the heater tank with clean diesel until the level reaches the middle line of the diesel filter without exceeding it.
Chimney sharraq
- On sunny days, and to remove cold air collected inside the chimney, take a cloth piece, fold it into a small ball, wet it with diesel, and light it inside the heater elbow.
- This step is known as chimney sharraq. It is necessary to warm the chimney and speed up ignition.
Preparing the ignition wick
- During the first operation, place the supplied wick thread under the combustion unit to make ignition easier.
Opening diesel flow
- After finishing the chimney sharraq step, open the tank valve until the bottom of the combustion unit fills with a small amount of diesel, about a quarter of a coffee cup, then close the valve.
- Confirm diesel has reached the unit by looking below the combustion unit.
Lighting the heater
- Using the dedicated lighter or a match, ignite the diesel inside the combustion unit, then close the heater door and cover tightly.
- After the fire ignites and rises above the nozzle level, open the tank valve and monitor the diesel quantity. It should not be too low to prevent soot formation.
Care and safety notes
03Care reminders
- Use clean diesel and do not fill above the middle line of the diesel filter.
- After ignition, monitor the diesel quantity so the flame remains stable and soot does not form.
- The automatic air sharraq protects the combustion unit after ignition, but the heater should still be checked during operation.
